Roland Middle School was excited to have an opportunity to be one of the first groups to tour the new Peak Innovation Center in Fort Smith. This state-of-the-art technology center will offer our students a connection to manufacturing careers right here in the River Valley. We appreciate and constantly look for new opportunities to advance our students education with new career paths.

Roland Middle School Christmas Spirit Week 12/12-12/16


Our middle school robotics teams have been working hard to get ready for the Rogers County Rumble VEX Tournament in Claremore today. We have already had one middle school team, 9545X (Dylan Lowe, Mason O'Neal, Conner Stacy), qualify for VEX Worlds at the SW Native American Showcase in Arizona last month and are looking forward to seeing more of our teams join them.





Roland Middle School would like to congratulate our FFA Junior Team (Derrick Allen, Alex Brant, Jessyka Morris and Kylee Hodges) on their 1st Place Team finish at the Northeast Area Wildlife Management CDE yesterday.


Yesterday Mrs. Sutterfield's middle school science lab students learned about forensics and fingerprints. They fingerprinted a ten card then worked on identifying their fingerprint type today.


Mrs. Sutterfield's middle school science classes were learning about sound waves this week. They studied the changes in frequency of the sound waves while moving through solids, liquids, and gases.

This past week Mrs. Huggins has been teaching her seventh grade home economics students how to use a sewing machine to make their own aprons.
